Who we are
A community initiative for peace, cohesion and dignity
Buram Peace Committee works with the local community to support reconciliation, prevent conflict, stand with families affected by war and disaster, and back initiatives that strengthen stability and human dignity in Buram Locality.
We bring together native administrations, community leaders, youth and women, because we believe the people of this area are able to overcome this ordeal together.
Peace is not taking sides. Peace is taking the side of life. Reconciliation is not weakness. Reconciliation is courage. Buram Peace Committee, appeal to the people of Gereida and Tulus
Peace is everyone's responsibility
Building a community starts with its own people.
Accepting one another
We do not have to agree on everything to respect each other's right to differ.
No one left behind
Psychological support is a right, and inclusion is a shared responsibility.
Our work
What we do
Six areas of work, all aimed at a safer, more united Buram.

Reconciliation and conflict prevention
Supporting local reconciliation, calling for restraint and dialogue, and amplifying the voices of elders, youth and women over incitement.

Social Cohesion Project

Psychosocial support
Our office at Buram Hospital offers a safe space to listen, support and restore hope, because war leaves wounds that are not only physical.

Humanitarian response
Our volunteers deliver assistance to families affected by war and disaster, including in Haniqa and Al-Suhaib, despite difficult roads.

Our appeal
Let the voice of reason be louder than the voice of weapons, and the lives of our people more precious than any dispute.
Our people have paid a heavy price in lives, safety and stability. Disputes can be resolved through dialogue, rights can be discussed and wounds can heal, but a life lost does not return.
We call on everyone to choose wisdom and restraint, protect civilians, open the door to dialogue and give reconciliation a real chance.
